International Wolf Center and KARE 11
2008 Name the Pups Contest
May 9 - June 9, 2008

Help us welcome our two newest wolf ambassadors to the pack! The pups were born Sunday, April 27, at the Wildlife Science Center in Forest Lake, MN and will be moved to the International Wolf Center on Friday, May 9, 2008.

Visit the pups in-person at the International Wolf Center in Ely, MN or watch them grow on the pup cam. Then enter your unique name based on observations of each pup.

Phase One of the contest will begin at 12:00 noon Central Standard Time (CST) on Friday, May 9 and all entries must be received by Friday, May 23 at 12:00 noon CST.

Enter by visiting the Name the Pups official registration page on the KARE 11 Web site or on the International Wolf Center Web site. Submit your name(s) by sending an e-mail to wolfpups@kare11.com.  One name for each wolf pup may be submitted per email address. The system kicks out duplicate email addresses. Please review contest rules before participating.

In Phase Two, selection of eight names, four for each pup, will be available for voting on Monday, May 26, 2008 and will conclude on Monday, June 9, 2008.

Voting will only be accepted through kare11.com and a link through wolf.org. The top vote for each pup will be chosen as his or her name. If there is more than one entry per winning name, a single winner will be chosen by random. The final names for the pups will be announced at the International Wolf Center and KARE 11 on Friday, June 13, 2008.

Winning prizes include a possible appearance on KARE-11 News or a KARE 11 T-shirt, a free membership or renewal to the International Wolf Center and a photo of the wolf pup you name.
