Notes from the Field: Wolf pups born in the wild are growing fast this
time of year. They can weigh anywhere between 28 and 70 pounds (13 and 32
kilograms). That is a big difference! Wolf pups are born in late April or
early May, so they are 5 to 6 months old by October.

Notes from the Field: For wolves, May means pups. Pups in the wild are born in
late April or early May.
Featured Wild Kids: In 2005, seven young girls in California with a passion for
chocolate and a desire to make a difference founded the Yummy Dummy Chocolate Company.
With support from their families, the girls made, marketed and sold more than 30,000
chocolate bars. They also donated 100 percent of their profits |
