"Wolves": A wildlife course for the general education curriculum

"Wolves" is a general education course taught in the Biology Department of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The goals of the course are to educate students about wolf ecology and behavior, human and wolf interactions, and the management of wolves and other wildlife. The course enrolls 25 - 30 students per semester and includes a wide spectrum of majors including biology. A detailed outline of the course's topics including curriculum materials (literature, audiovisual aids, and demonstration items) will be presented. A printed version of the outline and curriculum materials will be made available to conference participants. Included in the presentation will be information about the students' attitudes toward wolves and wildlife.
