IUCN Wolf Specialist Group Meeting.
The International Wolf Center was proud to sponsor the Wolf Specialist
Group meeting, held in conjunction with BEYOND 2000: Realities of
Global Wolf Restoration. Participants of BEYOND 2000 were invited
to listen and observe the Wolf Specialist Group meeting.
The IUCN - World Conservation
Union is the foremost international conservation organization,
and the Species Survival Commission (SSC) is the IUCN's species
conservation arm. The chairman and members of the Wolf Specialist
Group are appointed by the IUCN and SSC to promote ecologically
sound management of the wolf worldwide and especially of endangered
wolf populations.
