The International Wolf Center is pleased to announce that Marc
B. Anderson has been selected as the Center's executive director.
Anderson was chosen from among a group of strong and talented
candidates. Dr. L. David Mech, chair of the search committee,
remarked, "The decision to select Marc Anderson as the executive
director who could lead the International Wolf Center to the next
level followed a rigorous search process. Marc has more than
twenty-five years of a proven track record of success as a nonprofit
leader, entrepreneur and conservationist. We're thrilled to have
him on board."
In 2006, Anderson founded www.NonProfitRFPexchange.com, an
Internet service, designed to offer nonprofit organizations a way
to connect with vendors whose services match their needs. Prior
to that, he served as executive director for the National Independent
Glass Association, where he assumed leadership for a struggling
national trade association and doubled its membership.
As owner of the Hudson Bay Company, Anderson worked with
nonprofit organizations and electoral candidates on communications,
public relations, fund raising, lobbying, strategic planning,
program development and administration.
Anderson also served as executive director for Citizens for a
Better Environment, a nonprofit grassroots organization whose
mission was to raise and grant money to other environmental groups
and to educate the public and legislature.
He founded and serves on the board of Minneapolis Park Lovers.
"I am very happy to join the team at the International Wolf Center.
They are doing an excellent job. The Center is a mature
organization with an excellent reputation, and I look forward
to contributing to their mission," said Anderson.
