ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
The International Wolf Center advances the survival of wolf populations by teaching about wolves, their relationship to wild lands and the human role in their future. It is a not for profit organization with its flagship interpretive center in Ely, MN and its administrative office in Plymouth, MN.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Design print and electronic collateral that fits the branding standards of the International Wolf Center.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the Volunteer Graphic Designer may vary depending upon the needs of the Communications department and will include:
- Designing full-color ads for quarterly magazine with provided text and graphics -- 40%
- Creating various full-color and B&W print collateral with provided text and graphics -35%
- Modifying and re-sizing existing collateral in Quark Xpress, Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator -20%
- Developing graphics for organization Web site -5%
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Quark Xpress, Illustrator and/or In Design essential.
- Experience with digital photography, web publishing and Mac-environment computing a plus.
- Good knowledge of printing and prepress processes helpful.
- Detail-oriented.
- Available during normal business hours for project discussion.
- A strong interest or commitment to IWC's mission is preferred.
The Volunteer Graphic Designer must own or have access to design equipment/software, have the ability to read and speak English fluently, to comprehend written and verbal instructions and must have visual acuity and manual dexterity to perform the responsibilities of this position.
